It's happening! After much consideration and 13 years of screenprinting, Orange Twist will be shifting to digital printing for papergoods. Baby one-pieces will continue to be screenprinted.
I picked up my first batch of digitally printed cards from the fabulous folks at Girlie Press and they look great. It's been thrilling and liberating to begin this process even as I grieve the choice to stop screenprinting cards.
I've been thinking about this shift for a long time a my particular circumstances, desires, and needs have shaped this decision to let got of screenprinting for paper goods. The shift to digitally printed goods will be a gradual one as local master printer Kerstin Graudins did a fantastic job of restocking Orange Twist screenprinted cards throughout the summer. As screenprinted versions run low, I'll shift to digitally printing them or retiring them. New designs will be digtally printed.
Orange Twist will continue to provide smart, funny, eco-friendly goods that are designed and printed in Seattle and I'm excited about the different opportunities that this new medium will open up for my design process and style. I hope you’ll continue to support Orange Twist as as I navigate this new phase.
